Description:
The Tour de Timor is an international cycling race held in East Timor that is a professional run event and was modeled on the Tour de France.
It is a 5 day stage race that travelles through 9 regional areas of Timor from the coasts to the mountains, with $75,000 in total prizes.
Stage 4 had a higher total elevation climb (2400meters) than Tour de France - in one section was steeper!
The race is open to all fit enough to join. The starting line has both professional riders and keen non-professionals in it for the thrill and adventure.
